Purple Poppies

One day, a generous green-fingered artist said that she had some poppy seeds, and if anyone would like some to send her a prepaid envelope and she would send us seeds inside in return. Delighted I sent off my envelope to be rewarded with seeds that, when planted, bloomed into the most miraculous purple poppies.
 
They make me dream Art Nouveau dreams and make a most intriguing and dramatic floral feature for any wall.
