Cockatoo Encounter

This painting came from a beautiful moment in a little patch of bush in Sydney's Centennial Parkland... it was a fresh crisp morning and a flock of cockatoos flew down to snack on the ground flowers and their seeds. I kept very still watching them with awe and have tried to capture the feeling of being encircled by the natural world, its leaves a universe of silence amidst the chaos of a city beyond...
